Our History

Baker Roofing Started in a Raleigh Shopfront

Our story began in 1915 when W.P. Baker hung this simple sign in his downtown Raleigh shop. This sign, which still hangs in our Raleigh office today, became more than just words on a wall—it serves as the foundation of our entire approach to business.

A few years ago, the Baker family made a big decision. Instead of selling the company to outside investors, they gave it to the people who built it. Today, Baker is employee-owned. Every person on our team is also an owner. That means everyone you work with — from your project manager to the crew on your roof — has a real reason to care about your home.
